The long listen

The mmf-9.3 se isolates its motor, platter and tonearm across three damped platforms, making the record groove the quietest and most stable place in the system.

From the product description

The details that matter.

A short guide to the design and features described by Music Hall.

01

Triple-plinth isolation

The platter, main bearing, tonearm and cartridge sit on the top platform, while the motor and speed controls have their own vibration-damping base. Sorbothane hemispheres separate all three platforms.

02

A carbon-fibre arm

The one-piece full carbon-fibre tonearm has adjustable VTA, azimuth and damped arm lift. Its counterweight is decoupled and level with the stylus tip.

03

Manual, two-speed drive

A completely isolated DC motor provides 33 1/3 and 45 rpm controls. The motor sits on its own resonance-damping puck.

04

Optional moving-coil cartridge

The mmf-9.3 is available with or without a Goldring Eroica LX low-output moving-coil cartridge with Gyger II line-contact stylus. The supplied cartridge is properly aligned and mounted.
